According to BANG Showbiz, Jessica Simpson has been dumped by new boyfriend John Mayer, after just one week.
Friends of Mayer have said he felt she was using him to get attention.
News that Jessica and Mayer were an item broke last week when the couple were both suffering from laryngitis at the same time.
A friend of Simpson was even quoted by People magazine as saying they were “in love”.
Jessica is trying to promote her new album ‘A Public Affair’ in the in the aftermath of her very public divorce from ‘Newlyweds’ co-star Nick Lachey.
Lachey is dating MTV host Vanessa Minnillo.
Jeanette’s Note: I also saw Jessica on The View and she stated that she and John Mayer were in fact NOT DATING as People Magazine had reported. Blah blah blah blah blah.

“I haven’t identified a single word that is pronounced the same in America as it is in England. And that can really take you out of the moment, having to constantly listen to yourself and check your accent. It makes it harder to immerse yourself in the scene.”

Rosie O’Donnell’s new boss, Barbara Walters of The View, wants her to stop blogging about the show.
“I didn’t like the blog,” Barbara told Newsweek of a post where Rosie complained about a promotional skit for the upcoming season. “I saw the new view promos,” Rosie wrote on her web site and “found myself/in the position/I loathe the most/powerless.”
Barbara is hoping that Rosie will be the obligatory “team player”. “I’m counting on Rosie’s intelligence and sensitivity and humor,” she told Newsweek. “This is, after all, an entertainment show. It is based on people who like each other and are having a good time, not on people who are arguing and unhappy.”
After Walters spoke to Newsweek, she called back to say she had just received flowers from Rosie with a card that read, “Barbara, I only want the promos and the show to be great. And I love you. Love, Ro.”
Rosie also says that she has no hard feelings towards a former co-host, Star Jones Reynolds…but says that she has refused to be a guest on The View in the past when Star was there. Rosie says their spat started when “we had a little sort of discussion when Martha Stewart was in prison, when I questioned why it is women don’t stick up for each other the way other minorities do, such as O.J. Simpson being accused of murder still had the support of the majority of the black community.”
Rosie said that Star “was not happy with what I said or the way I said it. The next day, she told me she didn’t appreciate what I said. I told the bookers, “I’m glad to fill in if you need someone - if she’s not there.” I don’t want to fight with her.” Rosie said she had no part of Star being let go earlier this year. “I would love to think I had the kind of power to say ‘Fire her,’ but what would my motive be for ruining her life?”

Zac Efron, of “High School Musical” fame, sported a new look recently at the 2006 Creative Arts Awards in Los Angeles (see picture on right). The 19 year-old teen idol said he was changing his look for his role as Link Larkin in the movie Hairspray.
Note: This post was done for my daughter Kaitlyn, who is truly infatuated with Zac Efron since watching him on the Disney Channel’s “High School Musical”.
