The director of one of my favorite holiday movies - “Christmas Story”, has died. Bob Clark, who was 67, was killed in a car accident earlier today when a drunken driver going the wrong direction on the PCH hit him head on. The accident happened at 2:20 AM. He died at the scene as did his son, who was the only passenger in the car, Ariel Hanrath-Clark, who was 22.
The driver of the other vehicle, Hector Velazquez-Nava, 24, of Los Angeles, was arrested. The police report stated that Velazquez-Nava was driving a 2007 GMC Yukon northbound in the southbound lane of the PCH in Pacific Palisades when his vehicle collided with Clark’s - a 1997 Infiniti Q30, which was headed southbound. The suspect and his passenger suffered only minor injuries.
