A Texas recording company exec bought two of Anna Nicole Smith’s diaries for $59,750. The diaries failed to sell recently, but then were put up for sale by Heritage Auction Galleries of Dallas with a minimum bid of $25,000. The diaries are from 1992 and 1994. A neighbor of Anna’s mother, Virgie Arthur, found the diaries when she was throwing them out with the trash.

Hugh Grant was arrested today following an incident in which he threw a container of baked beans at a photographer. Two photographers spotted Hugh arriving home on Tuesday and asked if they could take his picture, evidently Hugh went ballistic and started throwing the baked beans at them.



Sheesh, at least the paps asked!

Vanessa Minnillo is leaving TRL and is ready to move on to the next phase of her life.

“I had my four years there like high school or college. I’m ready for the next chapter – what it is, I have no idea. [But] I don’t want to be 48 saying, ‘Hey kids, now it’s Sean Preston Spears’s video.’ ”

She’s already a busy bee - today she unveiled her Flirt! Cosmetics Line in New York, which will be available in August, she has a cameo appearance in the movie, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, which will be released this summer, and she recently moved into a condo in New York with her boyfriend, Nick Lachey.

All the votes that were cast last night get added on to next week’s show, with two of them being booted off. Egads! I was only able to catch the last 15 minutes of the show - now I have to go back and watch the other hour and 45 minutes on TiVo tomorrow…

Sanjaya’s mother, Jillian Blith, was arrested back in February of 2005 for growing over 300 marijuana plants. Sanjaya’s sis Shyamali was arrested as well for possession of the drug - apparently she was keeping watch of the family potarama in their garage. Oy vey!



The National Enquirer first broke the news today. TMZ obtained the mug shot of Momjaya. Momjaya got off easy though, she only had to serve 30 days in jail.



No wonder Shyamali didn’t make it through during Hollywood week. What a naughty girl! You can see much more of Shyamali here.

Rosie O’Donnell is leaving “The View” in June. She said on the show earlier today that she and ABC could not agree on a new contract. She wanted to host for only one more year but ABC wanted her to agree to a three year contract.



Rosie’s salary was $3 million this past season, after she replaced Meredith Vieira, who went on to “The Today Show”. ABC was willing to give her more than that in order to keep her, but Ro didn’t want to lock herself into a three year contract.



Ro leaves “The View” amidst controversy, feuds, and even higher ratings for ABC.

“It just didn’t work, and that’s showbiz. But it’s not sad because I loved it here and I love you guys and I’m not going away.”

Tonight was all about “songs that inspire” and of course there was major major hype about the “Idol Gives Back” show tomorrow night. It really sounds like it will be an incredible show. Without further adieu, here is my recap:



Chris: He sang “Change the World”. I don’t know…he just didn’t do it for me this week. It sounded a little bit blah for me. Randy said that it was his greatest in a long time, Paula said that it was well done, fantastic, good song choice, Simon said that it was more sexy, better, great vocal.



Melinda: She sang “There Will Come a Day”. Of course, flawless tonight, but I think that because she is one of the older ones up there that is going to be a disadvantage to her - but once again rocks it out every single time. Randy said that she’s got it all together, Paula said that there’s no one like her, she’s magical, Simon said he loves that it wasn’t a copycat performance, vocal master class.



Blake: He sang “Imagine”. One of my all time favorite songs and I thought Blake did an awesome job. He did throw in all of his beat box stuff and for me, I could feel the emotion from him while he sang. Love my Blake! Randy said that it was a great choice, it was all right, just okay, Paula said that this was the first emotional and sensitive song that she has seen from him, and Simon said that it felt sincere but it didn’t go anywhere, he sang it with sincerity.
