It’s been five and a half years since we last saw the infamous security video of Winona Ryder shoplifting at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills. What’s she been up to? Vogue caught up with the actress and found that she has three movie comedies coming out - The Ten, Sex and Death 101, and The Last Word.

She explained the infamous shoplifting incident:

“Two months prior to that, I broke my arm in two places, and the doctor … was giving me a lot of stuff (Oxycodone, not to be confused with OxyContin), and I was taking it at first to get through the pain. And then there was this weird point when you don’t know if you are in pain but you’re taking it.” She continues: “Have you ever taken painkillers? It isn’t a reckless (state), like you’re out of your head. It’s just confusion.”

After her sentencing (fine, probation, and community service), she moved to San Francisco where her parents lived and made “a very conscious decision not to work.”

Well, I for one am glad that she’s back. She’s always been one of my favorite actresses. The August issue of Vogue comes out on Wednesday.
