This is a show that I will definitely not miss. David Letterman is scheduled to make an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show next month, with Letterman taping the interview on September 10th at Madison Square Garden in New York. Letterman rarely makes appearances on some else’s show.

Letterman has frequently taken jabs at Oprah because of continuous refusal to appear on his show. In 2003, Oprah told “Time Magazine” that she would not appear on Dave’s show because she was “completely uncomfortable” as being the butt of his jokes.

In 2005, Oprah appeared on Dave’s show. She told him:

“I want you to know, it’s really over, whatever you thought was happening.” Letterman responded: “Are you sure it’s over?”

Alyssa Milano’s widely successful MLB apparel line, TOUCH, has now expanded into a fashion headwear line. 12 different styles will include baseball caps, trucker hats, military hats, and visors. They will be adorned with rhinestones, satin ribbon, and metallic thread, adding that girlie touch. In July, Alyssa also expanded her TOUCH line with a some jewelry items.

Alyssa unveiled her new headwear line at the MAGIC show in Las Vegas yesterday. The show runs through Thursday. I’m sure we’ll hear all about it on her blog.

American Idol runner up Blake Lewis has signed a record deal with Arista Records in conjunction with 19Recordings, the USA Today reports. The label is managed by American Idol creator Simon Fuller. The album will be released later this year.

Fuller said in a statement:

“Blake is one of the most unique Idol contestants I’ve ever seen. He brought something new to the competition and won fans all over America. I know they’re going to love his first album.”

Blake’s beatboxing skills won over my support, and I was blown away by his cover of Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name”. See that video below:

It’s about time! The long awaited Brady baby is here. ET Online has reported that Bridget gave birth earlier today to a little boy and Tom Brady was spotted arriving to a Los Angeles area hospital with flowers in tow. Gah, I hope Gisele wasn’t traipsing into the hospital with him.

Congratulations Bridget! Watch out Gisele….

The recently legal Hayden Panettiere is the latest celebrity to do an ad for the “Got Milk” campaign.

“You don’t have to be a hero to feel invincible. That’s why I drink milk.”

That’s what Hayden touts in the ad. It’s part of a campaign to get kids to drink three glasses of low fat or fat free milk per day. The ads will start appearing on September 10th and were shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Actress Comedienne Janeane Garofalo will be joining the cast of “24″ this season and will play an FBI systems analyst. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until January, when the new season returns.

Garofalo’s character, Janis Gold, will be assigned to a team investigating a crisis that hits Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer and his colleagues.

Ryan Seacrest is tapped to host this year’s Emmy Awards ceremony, which will be televised on September 16. Frankly, I am sooo sick of seeing Ryan everywhere. He is scheduled to do pre-game and halftime hosting gigs for next year’s Super Bowl as well. Enough already.
