American Idol’s David Archuleta showed everyone tonight that he is the one to beat with his incredible rendition of “Imagine” by John Lennon. See the video below.
David Archuleta performs “Imagine” tonight on American Idol
It was 70’s night on the American Idol stage and David Archuleta had quite the crowd behind him, with teen girls screaming and cheering for him tonight.
All of the judges were blown away by the 17-year-old’s performance and Paula specifically was overcome by emotion. Crazy girl was cryin’ and said:
“David, you’re ridiculous. I want to squish you, squeeze your head off and dangle you from my rearview mirror. Honest to god that was one of the most beautiful songs ever written and one of the most moving performances I have ever heard. You’re destined for superstardom.”
WTF Paula. Get a hold of yourself.

Amazing and so modest. Simon said ” he was the on to beat… thatthere were 19 miserable contestant…” Davids rely from what i can hear was that he did have competition and he turned and clapped for his peers.
