Must suck that your in laws disowned their own son because of your over the top wedding and now you may be heading to jail for violating Hindu wedding customs. I’d be depressed too….

Elizabeth Hurley’s father in law, Vinod Nayer, has severed ties with his son, Arun Nayer, because he felt “publicly humiliated” and treated “like social outcasts” at Liz and Arun’s lavish wedding(s) last month.



Vinod Nayer told the Sunday Mirror…

“Liz and Arun have treated us very shabbily. My heart is heavy with pain. We were pushed into the background like poor relations. This has broken my heart. I have decided to cut all ties with my sons…I feel that Liz and Arun behaved shamefully and placed more importance on showing off than their own family.”

Apparently both Liz and Arun showed disrespect towards Indian relatives last month at the wedding. The elder Mr. Nayer has not spoken to Arun since the wedding and has sent him a letter which said:

“You have shown disrespect to me and my family, plus my dear friends who have been with me since your birth. You have disregarded me like one of your office boys.”

Oh boy, Liz. Looks like you got a lot of work ahead of you to patch this up.

Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar married Friday at a castle in England - Saturday they had a religious service honoring their vows in the very same castle. Guests in attendance were Elton John, Elle Macpherson and Valentino, to name a few. A source revealed that Elton John gave Hurley away.

The two have been dating since 2003. This is the second marriage for Nayar and the first for Hurley. She previously had dated Hugh Grandt for 10 years. Hurley has a 4 year old son, Damien, with Steve Bing.
