Aishwaryai Rai, who just married fellow Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, will take on his surname and will become Aishwarya Bachchan. They were married last weekend in a gala affair. According to her father in law, Amitabh Bachchan, a Bollywood legendary actor, “she has already signed an autograph as Aishwarya Bachchan”.

The elder Mr. Bachchan has said that Aishwarya and Abhishek would move into his home with his wife, Jaya, a former Bollywood actress, instead of getting a home of their own. He told “The Times of India” that this was a decision that came voluntarily from Abhishek and Aishwarya.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan were married today in Mumbai, the culmination of a three day event. The “sangeet” or music ceremony was held Wednesday, and the “mehndi” or henna ceremony was yesterday. The event was marred by a woman who slashed her wrist in front of Bachchan’s home. She claimed to be his lover and was upset because he promised to marry her after they reportedly were “intimate”.
