The charitable concert last night for Prince William and Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, was a smashing success, with over 60,000 people in attendance. The event was held on what would have been Princess Diana’s 46th birthday. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Diana’s death. Several celebrities were on hand for the star studded concert. Both of the late Princess Diana’s boys were on hand to attend the Concert for Diana Rehearsal at Wembley Stadium earlier today. Prince William, 25, and Prince Harry, 22 would do their mum proud. William said that he thought that Diana would be slightly amazed that they’d actually managed to pull it off.

Prince Harry had said that Elton John will be singing “Candle In The Wind”, the song that he re-wrote for Princess Diana’s funeral in September 1997. Other notables to perform include Duran Duran, Supertramp, Joss Stone, Fergie, and Lily Allen.

The concert takes place tomorrow, July 1st, which would have been Diana’s 46th birthday. VH1 will air the concert live starting at 11:00 AM EST, with NBC showing highlights of the concert at 8:00 PM EST.
