Gap once again is utilizing celebrities for their latest ad campaign for the fall, called Classics Redefined. The campaign features 12 black and white portraits by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz of various celebs sporting wardrobe essentials you’ll need this fall season. In the above photo, John Mayer is wearing a $39.50 sweater vest.

Other celebrities taking part include Sarah Silverman, Lucy Liu, and Ken Watanabe. The photos will start appearing in the September issues of national mags.

The pictures say it all, don’t they? Just like my friends over at Celeb Warship said, this definitely had to have been awkward.



Jess and John headed over to Cabo for the weekend but it looks like it wasn’t a romantic love fest as they probably had hoped. Is it really over this time?

Jessica Simpson did dye her hair brown a while back because John Mayer told her to do so. That’s what sources are telling US Magazine. John told Jessica that he wanted her to change because he didn’t want to be dating a “blonde bimbo”. Well, now that they have supposedly split, Jessica is back to her original blonde ‘do. BUT, Jessica had said at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18th that she was going back to her blonde locks because of her upcoming role in her new film, Major Movie Star.

“I think I do have a little bit more fun as a blonde,” she told Us. “People take me a little too seriously when I’m a brunette. They think I’m trying to be dark and mysterious, when really I’m not.”

John Mayer was nowhere to be seen, even though they had apparently hooked up Sunday night, when John spent the night in Jessica’s SoHo Grand Hotel room. Oh brother. On again, off again. Which is it going to be? Make up your minds already.

Can you believe it? Perez Hilton is reporting that the two split over the weekend. Sources told Perez:

“They officially called it quits this past weekend. They’d been having problems for a while now and just decided it’d be better to end things.”

Hmmmm. I wonder what Papa Joe Simpson thinks about John now? He told PEOPLE just a few days ago that he gave Mayer the “thumbs up”.

John Mayer finally cut his hair and showed off his new ‘do on Monday night, when he accompanied his girlfriend, Jessica Simpson, to the Met’s Costume Institute Gala.
