Jennifer Hudson began filming this week for Sex and the City: The Movie (more photos below). I think she’s a welcome addition to the cast, and look forward to seeing what JHud brings to this movie. She’ll probably steal the show much like she did in Dreamgirls. Take that, Simon Cowell…

Having just been involved in a motorcycle accident on Friday, George Clooney and his girlfriend Sarah Larson attended the premiere of George’s latest film, Michael Clayton this evening in New York. Sarah broke her foot and George suffered a hairline rib fracture in the accident. No charges have been filed in the crash, as there are conflicting statements of both George and the other driver regarding the accident.

Well, well, well. I wonder how Angelina feels with Brad working with his ex? Page Six reported that Brad and Gwyneth Paltrow will be co-starring in a new film, “Dirty Tricks”. It’s a political flick about the aftermath of Watergate. It’s a star studded cast, with Annette Benning, Meryl Streep, Sharon Stone, and Jill Clayburgh already signed on. Filming will begin in December 2007.
The cast of Hairspray (Newcomer Nikki Blonsky, Queen Latifah, Zac Efron, Elijah Kelly, and James Marsden) performed on The Today Show this morning. Hairspray will be the not to miss movie of the summer, as it has already garnered much critical acclaim, with one reviewer calling it “Grease for today’s generation!”.

The opening day of Spiderman 3 raked in a record $59 million, topping the previous record of $55.8 million set by Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest on its opening day last summer.
Sony Pictures is also reporting that the movie took in $45 million more overseas on Friday, which takes it to a grand total of $104 million, a new record for sales in one day worldwide.
