Rick and Kathy Hilton visited Paris for the first time today in jail - only able to see their daughter through a visiting room glass. She told her parents that she was cold and had not slept but she is getting her appetite back, starting with some cereal Tuesday morning.

She was also axed by her talent agency, Endeavor, last Friday. She had been with them since 2005, and they handled the deal of her reality TV show, “The Simple Life”, which she co-stars with Nicole Richie.

Okay, how many more days left until she’s out??? Who really cares??

Paris Hilton called Barbara Walters yesterday and spoke with her regarding her state of mind and her stay in the slammer. Paris told Barbara that since being in jail she understands now that she must make some changes and clean up her act.

“I used to act dumb,” she told Walters in the exclusive phone conversation. “That act is no longer cute. Now, I would like to make a difference. … God has given me this new chance.”

During Paris’ first three days in jail, she told Barbara that she wasn’t eating or sleeping…”felt as if I was in a cage…it was a horrible experience”. Well duh!! Jail is not a piece of cake heiress Paris. Barbara will talk more of her conversation with Paris on “The View” later this morning.

Paris released this statement to TMZ over the weekend:

“Today I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge’s decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff’s concern for my health and welfare, after meeting with doctors I intend to serve my time as ordered by the judge.

This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience.

As I have said before, I hope others will learn from my mistake. I have also had time to read the mail from my fans. I very much appreciate all of their good wishes and hope they will keep their letters coming.

I must also say that I was shocked to see all of the attention devoted to the amount of time I would spend in jail for what I had done by the media, public and city officials. I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things, like the men and women serving our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world.”

Kathy Hilton spoke with Barbara Walters and issued a statement about daughter Paris’ 45 days in jail woes.

“We can only hope that something positive can come from all of this,” Kathy told Barbara. “Hopefully young people who look up to people like Paris can learn from this.”

“After reading the media’s coverage of my court hearing, I feel the need to correct what I believe are misperceptions about me. I absolutely realize how serious driving under the influence is. I could not live with myself if anyone was injured or killed while I was driving while impaired. Clearly, no one should—no matter how slightly. I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation.

“No one is above the law. I surely am not. I do not expect to be treated better than anyone else who violated probation. However, my hope is I will not be treated worse.”
