After being sentenced to 45 days in the slammer, Paris Hilton has now fired her longtime rep, Elliot Mintz. He mistakenly assured her that she was allowed to drive, when in fact her license was still suspended.



Mintz issued the following statement this evening:

The day after the hearing, I sent an e-mail expressing my sadness over the ruling of the judge and the irrational sentence he imposed. In that e-mail I also offered my sincerest apology for any misunderstanding she received from me regarding the terms of her probation. To the extent that I have miscommunicated information I received from her attorneys……I am deeply and profoundly sorry. I told her that I assume personal responsibility for my part in this matter. I believe when stated in court that she believed it was o.k. for her to drive under certain circumstances she was being absolutely truthful. Due to this misunderstanding, I am no longer representing Paris. For the record, I have nothing but love and respect for Paris and her family. Paris is a wonderful person and does not deserve the punishment that was handed down by the court. I only wish her my best.

Paris will start serving a 45 day jail sentence on June 5th! An LA Judge was not sympathetic to the teary eyed socialite, and she will not be allowed work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail.



Witnesses say that Paris’ parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton, were there as the sentence was read, and that Kathy was distraught over the whole situation. Well, I’m glad that the Judge didn’t let her off just because of who she is…

They’re at it again….It all started when Shanna blogged on her MySpace page a post titled “Put This In Your Pipe and Smoke It”. Here’s an excerpt:

“I posted this blog back in January to let you all know that my accounts were hacked. … and since there are 2 little girls with to much time on their hands and no one to love them….id like to share my ‘hacked’ info as well. ive tried to disassociate myself from both these parties for some time now and like a fungus they wont go away.”

Shanna then listed an email address and phone number for Paris and an email addy for Lindsay Lohan. By Sunday, the blog post was removed from her MySpace page. Shanna wrote this blog post in response to her previous post being removed:

“There are numerous reasons why i posted my last blog and i stand behind every single one of them. One of those reasons, hackers and whores pretending to be people they arent and harrassing others via phone, text, and myspace. having fun at the expense of others is in poor taste and i just had enough of it.”

Okay, when will we see catfight number three?

The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office announced today that Paris was found to be in violation of her terms of probation and could…gasp…face a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail. What is Princess Paris going to do? Remember when she got stopped by police on February 27th, when she was driving with a suspended license because of her previous DUI arrest in September? Yup, that little driving incident could cost her some jail time. Um, where’s her trusty publicist, Elliot Mintz, to make a statement about this? Haven’t seen anything yet. We all know how this is going to play out…she won’t stay a day in jail - although that could be a good episode for “The Simple Life”. Heh.
