David Beckham scored his first goal yesterday during the L.A. Galaxy’s match against D.C. United. He got his first assist as well, sending a long pass to Landon Donovan, who scored and put the Galaxy at 2-0.

He told the AP:

“I felt I was going to score as soon as I had the ball in my hands.”

Oy, the Beckhams have launched their own brand of his and hers fragrances…”Intimately Beckham”.

The scents retail between $25 to $55 and debuted in Beverly Hills last week. They will also be available at department stores next month and drugstores in January. Sources estimate that the Beckham fragrance, which also includes “Instinct” by David Beckham will garner around $100 million in sales worldwide this year and twice that next year, according to industry source Women’s Wear Daily.

“Why is this different from any other celebrity fragrance? The fact that (I) have spent a lot of time checking all the details,” Victoria Beckham told Women’s Wear Daily. “We are not just saying, ‘We are celebrities, put our name on it.’ I love to be involved with the whole process.”

The stars came out to welcome David and Victoria Beckham to America on Sunday. Tom Cruise and his wife, Katie Holmes and Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith threw a “Welcome To America” party for David and Victoria at the Museum of Contemporary Art. There were so many of the Hollywood elite in attendance, I’m sure their perfect smiles were blinding.

Evidently invitations went out to the Hollywood elite and were printed on red velvet with tacky gold lettering…Just how many Scientologists will be on hand? Heh heh.

David Beckham practiced yesterday with the L.A. Galaxy at the Home Depot Center. He looks mighty fine in a uniform, doesn’t he? Unfortunately he’s questionable for Saturday’s game against England’s Chelsea due to a swollen and sore left ankle. Heh, what a way to start off your jabillion dollar season…

David Beckham has launched a new website…as if we can’t already get enough of this hottie!! He posted a message on his blog to all of his fans:

“Hi everybody,

Thanks for joining me on davidbeckham.com – it does seem incredible that in all my time playing professional football, I haven’t had my own website.

So here it is at last.

It also gives me the perfect opportunity to say goodbye to all my friends in Spain. After four years in Madrid, I’d just like to say thank you to the people there and Real Madrid fans for being absolutely incredible, not only to me, but to my family as well. I was so happy to be able to leave having given the fans something to celebrate by helping to win La Liga.

I am now moving on to an exciting new challenge at the LA Galaxy. So far, everyone has been amazing, and my family and myself have been made to feel extremely welcome. I now have a great opportunity to raise the profile of football in America, (or soccer I should say!) and that’s something I’m genuinely excited about.

Meanwhile, I’ll do my best to keep you updated with everything that’s happening whilst I am playing in the States.

Alex Rodriguez’ wife, Cynthia Rodriguez, is trying to make a statement. A very bold statement. Yesterday she attended the Yankees game with her 2 year old daughter Natasha and on the back of her white tank top were the words “F*** You”. Now come on…what kind of example are setting for your child? Clearly Cynthia is pissed about something, but we’re not sure exactly who the sentiment is geared towards, whether it be the media, Yankee fans, or her stray of a husband.

Um, I’ll go with the latter…

Tiger Woods released the first photos of little Sam Alexis Woods on his website earlier today. His wife, Elin Nordegren, had little Sam on June 18th. Isn’t she just gorgeous?!
