American Idol’s David Archuleta showed everyone tonight that he is the one to beat with his incredible rendition of “Imagine” by John Lennon. See the video below.
It was 70’s night on the American Idol stage and David Archuleta had quite the crowd behind him, with teen girls screaming and cheering for him tonight.
All of the judges were blown away by the 17-year-old’s performance and Paula specifically was overcome by emotion. Crazy girl was cryin’ and said:
“David, you’re ridiculous. I want to squish you, squeeze your head off and dangle you from my rearview mirror. Honest to god that was one of the most beautiful songs ever written and one of the most moving performances I have ever heard. You’re destined for superstardom.”
WTF Paula. Get a hold of yourself.

I was busy watching our Phoenix Suns and newly acquired Shaquille O’Neal take on the Los Angeles Lakers. A girl has priorities, you know. Unfortunately, the Phoenix Suns lost. But…this was a great start for the Suns..a way to see how the Shaq fit in with our running game and it proves that we really needed a big man on the inside. Okay…enough about that.
What I have found are videos of the Top 12 Girls for your viewing pleasure. You can see each of their performances, thanks to ONTD, and judge for yourself how they did.

Tags:American Idol, girls, Top 12, videosYay, my show is baaack. American Idol’s Top 12 boys performed songs from the 60’s. Some stood out from the rest of the pack, others were just okay, and some just plain bored me….Check out the recaps below.
Here are the recaps:
David Hernandez, Glendale, Arizona - Strong showing for being first up. I really like this guy. He hails from the same town that American Idol winner Jordin is from. Randy liked his gospel vibe up front and thought he did a really good job. He kind of fell apart at the end, but way to start it off. Paula told him that she knows how unnerving it is to be the first contestant up, and he has brilliant vocals, perfect vibrato, and did a good job. Simon thought it was actually better than he thought it was going to be, the first part was terrific, middle kind of fell apart, and he needs to loosen up a bit.
Chikezie Ezie, Inglewood, California - Sorry Chikezie, but it was BORING. Randy said that he was an old fashioned singer, and he needed to make it new and fresh, but he can definitely sing, it was all right. Paula said that he’s a throwback to great R & B and did a very nice job. Simon hated the whole performance, said that his orange suit was hideous, the wink was hideous, old fashioned, corny, cheesy, and it could’ve been something we filmed 40 years ago. Ouch. I think he might be sent home packing on Thursday.
David Cook, Blue Springs, Missouri - I liked the beginning and he put his own spin on the song. I thought he sounded great. Randy said that he started out a little rough and it was a little weird, but he rocked it out. Paula said that it was worthy of great praise, he rocked it and made something original. Simon said that he thought it was good, thought that he shouted a little bit in the middle, weird song to choose, never heard that song sung that way before but he almost made it believable.
Jason Yeager, Grand Prairie, Texas - He sang Moon River. Gah, it’s gotta be one of the most boring songs ever. In spite of me almost falling asleep, he does have a great voice. Eh, poor song selection. Randy said he did a pretty good job, he had a couple problems pitch wise, he felt like in the middle maybe he went somewhere in his head and wasn’t concentrating or lost focus. Paula said she has sentimental feelings about the song since it was the first song she had her first ballet recital to *rolling eyes*. Simon said that he thought that the whole performance was very “cruise ship” it was neither here nor there. It was just very very middle of the road. He told him that he was a dependable old dog, we can rely on you, but you’re not going to be very exciting. Might be going home.
Robbie Carrico, Melbourne, FL - The one time Britney Spears boyfriend can rock out and did a great job. He reminds me of Chris Daughtry. Randy said he did a very nice job, liked his version of the song. Paula said he picked the perfect song for him, looked fantastic, vocals were right in the pocket. Simon said it was the only performance tonight that has any semblance. Simon questioned Robbie’s authenticity as either a rocker or a pop singer, to which Robbie said that he is absolutely not a pop singer.
David Archuleta, Murray, Utah - For only being 17 years old, the boy can freakin’ sing. He has the boyish good looks which all the teenyboppers love. Definitely one to watch this season. Randy said that he’s a big fan, it was really brilliant, he sang that song so mature for being 17 and loved it. Paula said that it was a very brave and bold choice of song to sing, never saw that side of him, he’s an unbelievable confident older soul that just knows what’s best for him, really did a great job. Simon said when you got it you got it, by a comfortable mile, best performance of the night.
Danny Noriega, Azusa, California - Jailhouse Rock. Danny channeled Elvis tonight and I thought he did an admirable job. He wanted to bring his swagger attitude tonight and I’m not sure that he did but all in all it was okay. Randy said that he knows how to have a good time. He thought it was pretty good, loved the performance, kinda hot. Paula said that he has one of the most amazing vocals. She felt, though, that it was a safe song. Simon said the performance was verging on grotesque, if you’re going to take on Elvis, at least do it well. If this was the first time anyone tuned into the show by accident, they would say that this guy is destroying an Elvis song, it was awful. Come on Simon, I don’t think it was awful, cut the guy some slack.

I am soo bummed that Florence Henderson was not part of the cast as was widely rumored. I really wanted it to be a very Brady DWTS and thought that all the Brady kids would come and support Carol…I mean Florence. Okay, I’m a self-professed Brady Bunch junkie, could you tell? I think Kristi Yamaguchi will go far this season, she already has a graceful background with her skating. Adam Carolla…well…I’m not sure about his dancing skills, and that will certainly be a sight to see.
It will be interesting to see how this year’s Dancing With The Stars cast will do. It’s hard to believe that it’s already Season 6.
Watch the season premiere on Monday, March 17. I can’t wait!

Tags:cast, Dancing With The Stars, Season 6Okay, so I’m aging myself here, but Family Ties was one show I just absolutely loved back in high school. Never missed an episode. It was great to see them all together again this morning on the Today Show. Check out the video below.
The cast reunited in support for Family Ties creator David Goldberg’s new book, Sit Ubu Sit, which, you may remember, was the tag line at the end of each Family Ties episode. Michael J. Fox, Meredith Baxter, Michael Gross, Justine Bateman, and Tina Yothers were all there…notably missing was Brian Bonsall, little Andy, but he was another one of those child stars gone bad…he’s currently on probation…heh heh.

Uber conservative “The View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck gave birth to a baby boy at an undisclosed Arizona hospital Friday. He weighed 7 pounds and 15 ounces. He joins older sister Grace, who is 2 years old. No name was given in the birth announcement, wanting to leave us all in suspense and give the reveal on Monday, when Elisabeth calls into “The View”. *rolls eyes* (heh heh, sweeps) Elisabeth will return to “The View” after her maternity leave of two months.
Elisabeth and her hubby, quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, moved to Arizona last month after Tim was signed on with the Arizona Cardinals as a backup quarterback.
The Grey’s Anatomy cast has offered up their support to the striking writers. They joined the picket line yesterday outside of Prospect Studios in Los Angeles. See more photos below.
T.R. Knight told the Associated Press:
“We’re supposed to be going until the end of May and right now our last shooting day will be Tuesday or Wednesday. As actors, we’re paid a different way than the writers, but there’s also the crew to keep in mind. They are out of work as of next Wednesday.”
T.R. was joined by Katherine Heigl, Sandra Oh, Sara Ramirez, Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Justin Chambers, Eric Dane, and James Pickens Jr. They joined the picket line during their lunch hour in support of the Writers Guild of America strike.

Tags:greys+anatomy+cast, photos, picket+lineIf you’re like me, you were shocked to see that Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas were sent packing last night on Dancing With The Stars. America, what is wrong with you? Clearly, they are a much better dance couple than, let’s say, Marie Osmond (no offense, Marie) or Jane Seymour. Such a travesty, I tell you!
So, in honor of this dancing duo, here are videos of each of their dances from the last six weeks. Maybe they didn’t win the competition, but their chemistry certainly leads us to believe that the two will still be seeing each other off the dance floor.

The Victoria’s Secret models - Heidi Klum, Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Marisa Miller and Selita Ebanks will guest star on the November 26th episode of the CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother. Shooting begins on Friday and the episode centers around Barney (who thinks he has lost his sex appeal with the ladies) being invited to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show after party. Now that is one episode I cannot wait to see!
At the center of the doggie controversy, is little Ruby, the daughter of Ellen Degeneres’ hairstylist, who is heartbroken that Iggy was taken away from them. As you can see in the video, she’s pleading to get Iggy back.
