I’m really bothered about recent reprots of Chris Sligh actually thinking of quitting American Idol a couple weeks ago after his botched “Endless Love” performance. He has told the media that he decided he wanted to stay on just to make the Top 10 becuase he could then make the tour and thus receive a paycheck for it. I thought the whole purpose of getting on the show would be to ultimately be named “American Idol” but obviously to Mr. Sligh, that was just not the case. Look at all the others that were booted off that did have aspirations of becoming an Idol in their own right and who obviously sang better than Chris (Sabrina Sloan and Stephanie Edwards). I dunno, I really liked Chris from the start with his snarky humor (”I want to see David Hasselhoff cry”) but when he made that shout out to Dave (votefortheworst.com) well, makes you want to question really what Chris’ intentions were. Obviously he knew himself that he was in jeopardy of leaving and thus thought that his shout out to Dave could garner him some votes. Oh well, it obviously didn’t work for him. Okay, done ranting.

I’m curious to see if Chris Sligh’s shout out to Dave (the owner of Votefortheworst.com) after his performance last night is going to get him in trouble. Evidently Dave challenged Chris to give him a shout out in exchange for votes. That is speculation, but I don’t know why Dave would do that, especially since obviously he is trying to get everyone to vote for Sanjaya.

Best Episode of Idol EVER. EVER. I mean, come on now. Between Sanjaya giving the most VFTW worthy performance in the history of the show and Chris Sligh giving me a shoutout on national TV and pissing off the judges (and probably producers)… I must say I love this show. I’ve got to vote for Sanjaya out of loyalty since he’s the VFTW pick, but I don’t see how Chris Sligh can’t be our backup when Sanjaya leaves if he loves VFTW so much. And we love him! Chris, you are the man. And Sanjaya, you are hysterical. I love them both so much right now, I want to kiss them. You guys are so awesome.
