The Grey’s Anatomy cast has offered up their support to the striking writers. They joined the picket line yesterday outside of Prospect Studios in Los Angeles. See more photos below.
T.R. Knight told the Associated Press:
“We’re supposed to be going until the end of May and right now our last shooting day will be Tuesday or Wednesday. As actors, we’re paid a different way than the writers, but there’s also the crew to keep in mind. They are out of work as of next Wednesday.”
T.R. was joined by Katherine Heigl, Sandra Oh, Sara Ramirez, Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Justin Chambers, Eric Dane, and James Pickens Jr. They joined the picket line during their lunch hour in support of the Writers Guild of America strike.

Well, well, well. Elizabeth Reaser, who played the part of “Jane Doe” last season on Grey’s Anatomy, will be returning this fall. Exaclty how this is going to play out for Alex, I don’t know, but sources told TV Guide that it was “definitely more than one” episode that she’ll be appearing in. I guess that Emmy nod paid off for her!
Chyler Leigh will be joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy this fall. Last season ended with her introducing herself as “Lexie Grey” (watch video below). She even had some major chemistry going on with McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey, while at Joe’s Bar. Lexie is the half sister of Meredith Grey. How many freakin’ sisters does Mer have? And why can’t Mer and Derek be happy for once? Sheesh.
The Grey’s Anatomy spinoff, Private Practice, has already had a shakeup in its cast. The friend of Addison that was played by Merrin Dungey (of King of Queens fame) has been replaced by Audra McDonald (photo above), who is a four time Tony award winner. Executives felt that some of the actors did not “pop” with viewers. Private Practice is scheduled to start production next month, and no other cast changes have been made.

This better not mean that T.R. will not be returning to Grey’s Anatomy as my lovable George! Speaking of Grey’s Anatomy, just what did you think of the finale last night? It certainly did not live up to its finale from last season (Denny Duquette dying), and I just felt like there were way too many unanswered questions left up in the air - I guess that’s why it’s the season finale, eh? From the looks of it, maybe Isaiah Washington will not be returning after all….

Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo take a break while filming a scene for Grey’s Anatomy’s two hour episode that airs on Thursday. The episode paves the way for a possible spinoff involving Kate Walsh’s character, Dr. Addison Shepherd. 2 more days and counting! Can’t wait!

Tonight’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy is NOT a repeat, as previously planned. Apparently the powers that be at ABC were pleased with the numbers as far as viewers watching October Road, which immediately followed GA last week. They want to capitalize on the momentum, so decided to air the new episode tonight instead of next week. Hooray!! I want to know….what is going to happen to Izzy and George? I was watching “The Insider” and they reproted on how Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey got into an argument that almost became physical. Witnesses say that they were having a difference of opinion and were nose to nose but they apparently resolved their differences. First it was Paris Hilton and Shanna Moakler. Who’s next?
