Yet another celeb headed to jail…George Michael plead guilty yesterday to driving under the influence of drugs. Back in October of last year, he was found slumped over his steering wheel while at a traffic light. He said:
“I am perfectly aware that I did something very wrong . . . and I’m perfectly prepared to accept the correct punishment.”
I bet you’re happy to be going to the slammer, eh?

Yup, her license was reinstated back in March, so don’t worry - she’s not getting all ballsy by being behind the wheel again…darn…heh heh. She did release the following statement though regarding responsibility for her actions:
“After reading the media’s coverage of my court hearing, I feel the need to correct what I believe are misperceptions about me. I absolutely realize how serious driving under the influence is. I could not live with myself if anyone was injured or killed while I was driving while impaired. Clearly, no one should—no matter how slightly. I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation.
“No one is above the law. I surely am not. I do not expect to be treated better than anyone else who violated probation. However, my hope is I will not be treated worse.”
You hope you won’t be treated worse? Good luck.

John Mayer finally cut his hair and showed off his new ‘do on Monday night, when he accompanied his girlfriend, Jessica Simpson, to the Met’s Costume Institute Gala. Paris Hilton and her longtime rep, Elliot Mintz, have reconciled after they parted ways on Sunday. The two had dinner last night and Elliot said,
“The brief separation was unsuccessful. Paris remains my client, and I remain her media rep.”
I’m sure Elliot is counting his lucky stars!

The Extreme Makeover Home Edition host was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and drugs. TMZ is reporting that he was arrested around 12:35 AM Saturday morning and released after posting $5000 bail. More details to come!!

“I made an error in judgment. We all make mistakes, however this is about accountability. Under no circumstances should anyone consume alcohol while driving. I could have jeopardized the lives of others and I am grateful there was no accident or harm done to anyone. This was my wake-up call. I also want to apologize to my fans, ABC Television and my design team for my lapse in judgment and the embarrassment I have caused.”

US Magazine is reporting that Brittany Murphy has married screenwriter Simon Monjack. They were both seen at the Kentucky Derby Saturday and requested that photographers not take photos of their wedding rings, as they were going to make an official announcement today. It was only eight months ago that Brittany called off an engagement to another man. This is the first marriage for Brittany.
